The model is available with three engine options and eight variants from VND899 million. THACO AUTO expects to launch the first Kia Sportage cars at the THACO KIA Plant in Chu Lai, Quang Nam province by mid June. The model is a KIA's new-generation C-SUV, completing the KIA SUV lineup in Vietnam, which includes the Kia Carnival, Kia Sorento (D-segment SUV), Kia Sportage (C-segment SUV), Kia Seltos, and Kia Sonet (B-segment SUV).

The Sportage is the first KIA model in Vietnam to adopt its new design philosophy "Opposites United - The Creative Convergence of Opposite Concepts". In particular, it embodies the philosophy’s "Bold for Nature" element, which is inspired by the bold lines of nature blended with the modernity of contemporary life.  
  

The model features 2 designs dedicated to 2 consumer groups, i.e. the Sportage - modern and dynamic for urban customers, and the Sportage X-Line - impressive and powerful for customers who love sports and outdoor activities.

In Vietnam, the Kia Sportage is available with 3 engine options: 2.0L Petrol, 2.0L Diesel, and 1.6L Turbo. The 2.0L Petrol engine offer 4 versions: Signature, Signature X-Line, Premium, and Luxury, while the 2.0L Diesel and 1.6L Turbo engines with two: Signature and Signature X-Line. Customers can select from 8 colors, including White (Glacial White Pearl), Red (Runway Red), Dark Red (Sunset Red), Marine Blue (Mineral Blue), Brown (Essence Brown), Dark Blue (Deep Chroma Blue), Black (Fusion Black), and Moss Green (Jungle Wood Green), with Jungle Wood Green and Fusion Black being the 2 new colors.

The interior is available with 2 options: Saturn Black on Luxury and Premium versions as well as Sequoia Brown on Signature & Signature X-Line versions.

In Korea, Kia Sportage was the best-selling C-SUV model in 2021 with over 16,000 orders only one month after its launch.
