The race was the first large-scale event held by THACO Chu Lai, attracting over 500 athletes, not only employees from THACO AUTO Production Division but also from departments of THACO Chu Lai. The race includes 2 distances: 5km for men and 3km for women on roads inside the THACO Chu Lai Industrial Park.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Mr. Vo Cao Van, THACO Truck Vice Director and head of the race organization board shared, “Since the first days, the marathon race has received fantastic reactions from employees. I really appreciate the spirit of fitness of employees in Chu Lai. During our lives, we keep improving ourselves in terms of knowledge, virtues and especially health. To be able to run long distances, and continue to contribute to the company on the new journey, we need strong and flexible legs. Hopefully, the joyful atmosphere of the race will bring fresh energy and motivation for all of us to do well in our jobs.”

After nearly an hour of racing with passion, camaraderie and integrity, the race had found its top performers. The First Prizes belonged to Tran Chanh Tin from the THACO AUTO Production Division and Tran Thi Thu Ai from the THACO MAZDA Plant. Nguyen Viet Dung from the THACO ROYAL Plant and Nguyen Thi Thuan from the THACO MAZDA Plant were the runners-up. PoLoong Nhi from the THACO KIA Plant and Nguyen Thi Tuyet from the THACO BUS Plant finished third. The organizers also presented flowers and medals to the top 10 runners.

Excellently completing 5km in 21 minutes and 24 seconds, Mr. Tran Chanh Tin shared, "I am so delighted and excited to join today's race. This is a useful and meaningful activity to help us train and improve our health, and an opportunity to strengthen connections among employees, as the festival slogan says - Connecting Strength - Connecting Success. I hope that the Production Division of THACO AUTO will organize more cultural and sports activities to promote the company's spirit and culture among all employees in Chu Lai."
